Animal abuse is a worldwide issue. Too many times have reports of mistreatment of animals particularly dogs been overlooked because there are bigger issues going on in the world. This is the same with the horse carriages in NY, and finally the mayor of NY is putting a well needed end to the inhumane practice. It is time to act on this and put an end to the harm of animals including domestic animals. Obama needs to shine light on this ongoing problem. We need to take stray animals off the streets and into a safe and loving environment. Animals need to be cared for as well as people.
