Fast-tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement is not in keeping with the spirit of open, transparent government; rather it is government behind closed doors. You owe it to the American people to present ‘the Agreement’ openly and make your case for it in a public forum for debate. The TPP agreement would have sweeping implications for the American people and we deserve the opportunity to decide for ourselves whether or not its terms are in our best interest. ‘We, the People’ implore you to acknowledge our right to be informed and to have our thoughts on the terms of the TPP heard. We ask that you honor your commitment to a system of transparency, public participation and collaboration.
