1st amendment promises us freedom of speech, press, petition, religion, and assembly.
There are groups whom want to ban all religious text that offends others namely from, Mosos, Jesus, and Mohamed, but in doing so you violate the first amendment.
if this were passed we would no longer have our freedom of:
Religion- could not practice or learn without our texts
press- no religious media, including new holy books
assembly- no more church or other holy days
this violates most of our right and the free excursise clause which states any religion that is deeply rooted in history we have our right to practice without government regulation saying what we can and can not practice, which is un-American and inhuman. sign this petition, religious or not, to protect our liberties and rights.
