The recent plan to acquire T-Mobile America by AT&T will simply reduce the competition in GSM-cellular service areas in United States and gives a monopoly status to AT&T.
AT&T already acquires a good portion of the market in GSM-Cellular Voice and Data sectors and it is now insisting its customers to use an expensive Data Plan regardless of the needs of their customers. If AT&T were the only provider of GSM-Services in US, that leads to higher costs and lesser quality and poor customer service
As a strong rival and competitor to AT&T's lines of business, T-Mobile was able to offer better call quality and faster data services compared to AT&T and that is good for the consumers.
So, We request the Obama Administration to Veto the AT&T's offer to acquire T-mobile North America.
