There have been several attempts at passing cyber-security legislation in Congress. These bills and future bills seem to be focused on accessing secure information that is considered the sole ownership of its creator and should only be accessed at the discretion of its creator or with a warrant issued by the government.
Under the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, we, the people, have a right to be secure in our "persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures." As a constitutional lawyer, Mr. President, I urge you to resist any attempts at passing legislation aimed at violating any of these rights as they are against your Oath of Office as our Elected President. Sir, you have a duty to the Constitution and to the people.
