Today (Jan. 19, 2012), the FBI closed down one of the most popular filesharing websites on the World-Wide Web when it censored MegaUpload.com. This action immediately brought retaliation by angry citizens and tech savvy users of the site. As a "Paid" member of the site who uses it frequently to share my own musical creations and download files from other members, I am appalled at the audacity of the FBI, Congress and government in general, to think that they have the right to restrict my activities by removing access to the site via U.S. search engines and servers such as Google.com and Yahoo.com. To prosecute the founders and owners of the site because there are some users who violate copyright law is ludicrous, and the old adage "throw the baby out with the bathwater" applies here!!!
