Stop auto insurance companies from increasing auto insurance premiums based on non vehicle related drug offenses.

Created by J.S. on December 12, 2012

Our economy, especially our auto industry, is being subject to undue stress and depression due to the auto insurances ability to apply absurd and unwarranted penalties and fees to the auto insurance policies of those convicted of drug convictions that never involved a parked or moving vehicle. As a result, millions of Americans are financially barred from ever financing a new or used vehicle, not because of the price of the vehicle itself, but because of the absurd cost of insuring the vehicle based on their non vehicle based offense, inturn killing auto sales. Insurance companies should be more concerned with drug and alcohol related activity that actually involve a motor vehicle. Bar states from creating similar legislation that put non vehicle related drug crimes on driving records.
