The Fair Tax Act would give people the power and a very strong voice in the government. If we do not like what is going on or if the economy is going down and jobs are being lost then people will buy less things and thus less money will go to the government. This should help drive interest in fixing the economy at a faster rate.
This will put more money in people's pockets by removing the income tax from paychecks and helps people pay off their own debts and makes it easier to pay for health insurance. At the same time, makes it easier for people to save money.
Also broadens the tax base by taxing anyone who buys anything here in the U.S., including illegal immigrants and international tourists.
