Starting this month Bank of America rolls out a transfer of CampusEdge Checking accounts to new MyAccess Checking. They are going to charge $12 monthly for maintenance fee unless there is one of two options present: you either have to have direct deposit set up for the account of $250 or more a month or have to have an average daily balance of $1500. If one of the conditions is met, BoA will waive the fee.
I think it is unjust when we (taxpayers) bailed them out with our money, and now when BoA has made 4.2 billion in net income in 2012 (source Yahoo finance), it wants to "maintain" our accounts for $12 a month!? They will be robbing us blind. Say no to the corporate greed, and yes to this petition.
