Large banks sell mortgages to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to dump bad loans. Debt collecting companies are assigned these mortgages and harrass the home owners and violate their rights by threatening them and calling neighbors and friends. This violates the home owners and the tax payers. It is another way for the banks to get a bail out from the government which is you the tax payer.
