Stop basing if surgeries are elective or not based on the BMI index of the patient.

Created by M.H. on May 30, 2014

The medical field has changed drastically over the years to the point where you cannot get any surgery done if your BMI index is over a certain number as it would be considered elective by the surgeon and hospitals. Basing if a surgery is elective or not needs be based on the person's day to day life/events NOT what they weigh. Help sign this petition to bring this to the attention of the government so we can get a change for hard working people who need surgeries to continue a healthy and active life.
