Bayer, a pharmaceutical giant which pulls in roughly $67 billion dollars a year, recently made a deal to acquire Monsanto, which controls roughly 90% of the GMO seed market.
If these two companies were to merge, not only would monopolization of the agricultural industry and pharmaceutical industry be certain, but Big-Pharma and Big-Agra would become one industry, thus becoming nearly unstoppable.
Please do the right thing, and prevent this gross abuse of anti-trust laws. History has shown us that any time a single company gets too much power, the people always suffer.
