Gas prices in the United States are over inflated, and should be lowered to help make the economy and small businesses stronger. As the number one producer of oil in the world the United States should not have gas prices over four dollars. Gas prices should not jump a dollar in a week let a lone jump because it is a Friday or a holiday. Oil companies are lining their pockets with hard earned money from the middle and lower class that could go to strengthening our economy. Middle and lower class families and workers cannot afford gas to be above 4 dollars a gallon, and cannot afford to pay around fifty dollars every other week just to get to work. Something needs to be done so that gas prices stay reasonable and are based on supply and demand.
