No other country in the world offers automatic birth right citizenship to children, just because their mother gave birth in that country. Not England, not Germany, not Canada, not Mexico, not China, and the list goes on. At least one parent must already be a citizen of that country in order for the child to be granted citizenship at birth. The United States government is naive, uncontrolled, and foolish when it comes to immigration. Foreign nationals and children born of foreign nationals should have to apply for citizenship through the proper Uninted States Immigration and Naturalization process. Passing this law would discourage and reduce illegal immigration for purposes of automatic birth right citizenship and later sponsorship of parental immigration. Get control of immigration now.
