Stop the blame game on the movie and video game industry in the wake of the Newtown tragedy.

Created by A.E. on December 22, 2012

What Wayne LaPierre said is basically dodging the blame and placing it on something that has no scientific link to agression in humans: movies and video games.

Yes, there is violence in these forms of entertainment, but like literature movie and video games are protected under the First Amendment. And there is no scientific evidence that links aggression in adolescense to the violence we see. We also have to keep in mind that countries like Canada, U.K., the Netherlands, South Korea and Japan consume the same amount of violence in movies and video games like the U.S., but don't even have a fifth of the gun violence per year the United States does.

This is basically an assault on the first amendment, and it needs to stop.
