Current US policy in the Ukraine is increasing bloodshed and the risk of outright war. We call upon the US government to:
- Stop the blind support of the current, illegally self-appointed regime, swept into power with the armed support of dangerous right-wing extremists.
- Stop saying "we have your back, thereby encouraging violent suppression of popular dissent, including unconstitutional use of the armed forces, as well as armed, violent, dangerous right-wing extremist “proxies”.
- Acknowledge grievances of substantial minority population of Russian-heritage/speaking citizens. Despite ongoing propagandistic media portrayal as "separatists", most want a referendum on federative government, and formal recognition of the Russian-language.
