Stop borrowing money immediately and balance the budget.

Borrowing money is unnecessary and counterproductive. You can't spend money you don't have, especially only to waste it on programs that don't produce results. Continuing to borrow money puts a heavier burden on the next generation and does not solve any of our nation's problems. There may be temporary benefits, but continuing to raise the debt ceiling will have inevitable consequences on the long term. We need to face the problem, not continue to borrow from other countries. Debt is not the right approach to a problem that will only get bigger if we don't change something. Cut spending until we can sustain ourselves on revenue. Balance the budget so our nation lives on less money than it makes, and the US will become much more economically sound.
