We, GenX, have paid alot into social security. Sometimes more than our paychecks. My parents, the baby boomers say they paid alot and DESERVE it. Well, we pay alot too. Don't we deserve it too? With the housing market decline and people not even being able to afford a home or sometimes food, we still have to pay Social Security. With this problem for us, we can't even think about trying to save for our retirement. Its for our future too. President Obama has just "borrowed" the money from S.S. to pay for his healthcare, but we know it won't be paid back. Its OUR money for OUR future. Not the govt's. We will have to work well into our 70's just to survive. Don't we deserve a future too?
