Every time the government debates a new budget, or issue that involve money the only people that suffer are the government employees that work hard for this country everyday. How many government furloughs or shutdowns do government employees have to endure without receiving a pay increase? It has been 5 years since a pay increase and with furloughs and increased taxes and COLA, it is actually a decrease in salary. Our reward at my agency for all employees dealing with a 20% cut in pay this summer, was zero dollars available for end of year bonuses. It is time to acknowledge the loyalty these great Americans have shown through the years by proving your loyalty to them.
