Stop Breed Specific Legislation

Created by B.M. on February 15, 2013

There has been many local legislation on banning "dangerous and vicious" dog breeds, such as the Rottweiler, PitBull, Doberman Pinscher, ect. Being the proud owner of a PitBull, I am outraged at these false accusations! There has been no evidence stating that any dog possesses "locking jaws" (Myths and Facts 1). "...a dog's behavior is influenced by both genetics and envirnment" (Myths and Facts 1). These "dangerous dogs" are used for dog fights, because the OWNER starves them, ties them up, beats them, and forces them to become aggressive, not because the dog decided to. These stories that come up about a "vicious PitBull" or other vicious dog that has attacked someone are outrageous! Before these dogs are banned and euthanized, the dogs home envirnment should be investigated first.
