Stop the building of the Keystone Pipeline

The Keystone Pipeline would transport oil from Canada to the Gulf Coast for export to Europe and Latin America. The pipeline would only provide about 4,000 new jobs (comported to the much larger estimates of the oil companies) to the American economy while the oil companies will receive tax-free sales overseas. Many of the jobs aren't even given to Americans, they are given to low-wage migrant workers. The pipeline has already spilled a dozen times and failed many inspections in an area of the US that provides drinking water to about 2 million Americans. The EPA has estimated that greenhouse gas levels could rise up to 20% as a result of burning the oil and fracking is dangerous to drinking water and the environment as a whole.
