A student at Otto Shoretell, Jakob, is a type one diabetic. He has suffered from bullying issues for the last two years from the same repeat offenders. Recently he started overdosing on his insulin to make himself sick in order to not have to go to school any longer. He is not the only child to have suffered from this epidemic, and they are afraid to speak up.
It is our job to protect them when the schools fail to, and our school has failed miserably.
Please help change the bullying policy from "No tolerance" to "Zero tolerance". Our schools need to instill a three strike policy. Once a child has been reprimanded by school officials three times with no change in behavior the fourth offense should result in legal action by law enforcement.
