On September 1st Direct TV dropped local channels in 36 major markets. By dropping these channels Direct TV is cutting off hundreds of thousands of Americans from local news, weather and traffic that is vital.
This is not the first and most likely not the last time a cable channel has been dropped during a contract dispute. I urge you to enact a law to force cable companies to go to mediation and keep the channels on air.
