I am petitioning the White House to stop using the term Obamacare to describe the Affordable Care Act. Our government should resemble only what is best about our nation, and in doing so, refrain from fighting political battles by making a mockery out of legislation passed by Congress and signed by our president.
I understood and laughed a bit when the GOP, a party to which I belong, used it to attack Obama but I never expected that my respectable government would use and thereby institutionalize the term.
It's like calling the wars Afghanistan and Iraq, the George Bush wars. We as a nation entered those two wars just as we as a country approved the Affordable Care Act.
Stop making a mockery out of our nation's law's and institutions. Stop calling the Affordable Care Act Obamacare.
