Starting April 25th, the Travel Security Administration (TSA) will allow small pocket knives, hockey sticks, golf clubs, ski poles, and billiards sticks onto airplanes, specifically aircraft cabins where passengers are seated. This change in policy is due to sequester cuts that are causing a decrease in manpower within the TSA. Pocket knives are shaped in such a way that even a blade less than 6cm can be lethal. This petition asks for the White House to take action against these changes. National security, individual safety, and the safety of our friends and family members should not be sacrificed as a result of budget cuts, sequester cuts, or the inaction of Congress.
