STOP CHILD ABUSE

Created by A.M. on May 13, 2015

Legally recognize the difference between a legitimate religion and a cult.
Children raised in cults are extremely likely to be subject to child abuse and suffer from long-term psychological issues

Freedom or religion is an important part of the United States constitution. It is a constitutional right that people are allowed to choose which religion to practice. a cult is a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox or extremist which members often living outside of conventional society. Adults are able to consciously choose their own religion but children born or tricked into cults are much more likely to be abused then a child outside of a cult. To protect children we propose that the government recognize cults and intervene to protect the children involved.
