The decade-old Web browser Internet Explorer 6 is still used by a staggering 17.62% of Chinese PC users. In the web design world, web design professionals HATE HATE HATE Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser, especially IE 6. Its the one topic that even feuding web designers agree on.
But China is clinging grimly to that insecure and user-unfriendly piece of software, perhaps due to so many Chinese people running old Windows XP machines and then failing to upgrade either the OS or its default browser. We should enforce Chinese XP/IE6 users upgrade to other browsers like Opera, Chrome or Firefox because Microsoft IE9/10 is for Windows 7/8 only.
