This petition is to stop CISPA from passing in order to protect the citizens privacy and civil liberties. CISPA would basically turn social networking into a spy for the government in the name of national security, this includes access to general internet traffic and personal correspondence between users of any given social networking website. If phone tapping is not legal, this should not be either.
