It is imperative that I expose and address this very blatant abuse of sec.8 voucher holders and the relocation process that is taking place in Santa Cruz California. Families are being uprooted without any care for the life they have led peacefully simply to make room for the wealthy. 30 day notice is not adequate for a family who has lived in the same location for 5+ years, and had no Idea they were going to be told to move. Even worse, they get a 30, 60, 90 day notice with no explanation for why they are being told to move. This action has grave effects on people who have good standing and a good name. Suddenly they cant pay rent, (to save) get an eviction on record (can't find a home in time) Then they become homeless. No care for the children who have to stay in school. All for money.
