Stop the City of Alexandria from replacing the public marina with a commercial zone.

My name is Selim Aksu. My family has been residents of Alexandria for over 4 years. These 4 years have been the happiest of my 13 year life, as for the past 4 years my family and myself have had access to the public marina. I have had countless memories made that I will hold near and dear for the rest of my life on my family’s boat. I have spent hours sitting on my boat in the marina, whether I am doing homework or I am just looking for a place to relax with my family, my boat has always been there for me. For me, my boat is not just a pastime, but a part of the city. As much as my apartment is part of Alexandria, the marina, and my boat are too. My family’s boat and the public marina are a part of my culture.
