stop the civilian death toll from rising any further in Gaza. Over 570 people have died so far and we want it to end NOW

Over 570 people in Gaza have lost their lives in the past 13 days during Israel's bloody military campaign there. 80% of the dead are civilians and more than a fifth of them children. Yesterday's massacre in the neighborhood of Al-Shujaia saw the death of 110 people in a single day! Most of them from the same neighborhood. The people of Gaza are not an army, they do not have military protection, no underground bunkers,no way to escape the violence and no representative government. They rely on the protection of the international community. The people of Gaza have just as much right for the protection of life, health and security as do people all around the world. We call on the government of the United States to help mediate a cease fire and prevent any more civilian casualties NOW!
