Cornelio Ayala Fonseca School was constructed thanks to Cornelio himself who donated the land to our rural community so that the present/future generations could study to have a better future than the one he had. Closure reason: economic issues. Law 149-1999 establishes: schools belong to the community. NCLB law promotes: participation of parents in schools. We are here! The school evidences excellent academic achievement, Honor Roll Awards, and no improvement plan thanks to committed High Qualified Teachers who strive to guide students to get prepared to take such long stressful exams successfully. Closure means emotional disturbances, disadvantage for us as family in such a low poverty level, lack of resources to travel far away from our community to an imposed school. We need it opened!
