Stop the closure of Philadelphia's neighborhood public schools.

The city of Philadelphia is not collecting the $515 M in delinquent property taxes owed to the public school system- and is, instead, slashing the public school budget and closing neighborhood schools, particularly those in low-income, majority black neighborhoods. The city, state, School District and sheriff’s sale office should be held accountable for these missing funds. The more we starve our school system for funding, consolidate under enrolled schools, and cut programs and building upkeep funding, the more these neighborhood schools will deteriorate taking surrounding neighborhoods with them. Our children have a right to an education, and the future of our Great American cities depends on safe and equitable neighborhood schools.
