This petition hopes to bring attention to the time, money and effort many modern college students waste thru remedial and unnecessary classes at the university level. Many students feel that if the major they have chosen does not directly involve the use of mathematics or English, than the a fore mentioned classes should not be required in the pursuit of a higher education, and that they waste the students, or parents time,energy and money on useless classes. Most people don't use algebra or write english essays in the real world so why should they need the skills in order to achieve a college diploma in the hopes of attaining a better job?
