Stop college textbook publishers from raping our students with exorbitant prices for required textbooks.

We just enrolled our daughter at Northern Arizona University and had to buy books yesterday. One book for one class was $235. Another two books that were used, worn copies cost $155. There is a real problem with these textbooks publishers raping our students. Professors are not given the book pricing when they choose books for their class, new editions are published each year so that students are forced to buy new and when our student sells her books back at the end of the semester she can expect $42 for the $235 book. The cost of these books would not be considered fair and reasonable by most people. Something needs to be done to break up this monopoly which would help significantly in making higher education accessible to more Americans.
