Comcast announced on February 13, 2014 that a deal has been reached to acquire Time Warner Cable, creating the largest telecommunications conglomerate in the United States. Comcast's CEO called the deal "pro-competitive" and "pro-consumer" but it's nothing more than a giant teaming up with another giant to squash all other entities and monopolize the market even further.
