If the FCC allows the two larges cable companies to merge, Time Warner and Comcast will have great monopolistic power. This is not really about Cable TV, but high speed Internet. Comcast is loosing TV viewership to Netflix, Amazon and Google and they want to control internet bandwidth to recoup losses from Cable TV sales. There is no way this can help consumers. Competition will suffer if the FCC allows this merger.
