stop the Comcast/Time Warner merger.

Created by W.C. on April 20, 2014

The merger of Comcast and Time Warner would lessen competition in the communications, entertainment, and broadband service industries. This would lead to higher prices and/or poorer service to consumers. But most important of all, it would consolidate control over broadband internet access in the United States. This is the most critical issue at stake here. We here in the US already have slower service at higher cost than many other developed countries. Further consolidation in this critical service industry would cause further declines in service and higher costs compared to similar countries. We cannot afford to do this, since free and unfettered internet access is critical to business, jobs, growth, education, science, research and development, innovation, and communication.
