1. Common core guidelines were NEVER voted on by Congress, the Department of Education nor by state or local
governments.
Common core is supposed to be a straight, "one size fits all" fix to education. But it can never be just that. Different cities and cultures require different needs of learning, primarily depending on social and economic factors. Common core will not change or take into consideration those factors, and will harm the education children receive.
Common core is not a solution. Common core distrusts teachers' best judgement on how to teach their students, or meet their needs. The common core primarily serves to push the creative aspect out of education, which supposedly is "the purpose of education." Please consider SOME of these problems and help us STOP CC!!!!
