Stop Communist Propaganda under the Guise of Cultural Programs

Created by T.W. on September 26, 2011

There has been increase of Chinese Communist propaganda imported to the US through official channels under the guise of "cultural programs." The most recent example is China: the Art of a Nation presented by the Kennedy Center and the Chinese Ministry of Culture. Some programs were used during the Cultural Revolution to glorify a violent revolution resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands. Since the communists didn’t allow traditional Chinese arts, Chinese starved for the arts had to accept the communist performances designed to brainwash the populace. For many Chinese who have lost family members during Cultural Revolution, these programs bring back extremely painful memories. This attempt to engage China isolates Chinese victims and runs counter to American values.
