More and more companies are requiring credit checks before one can be considered for employment and some companies will also do a credit check after you are hired to make sure you are keeping your credit good. If your credit is found to be bad, you will either be deemed unfit for hire or walked out if already hired. This is not fair. There are many factors on the part of the applicant as to why their credit could be bad and generally does not reflect on that person's character. In this economy, more bad credit is coming from inability to pay bills, not laziness, and this is a factor in getting employed. Unless the job is money related i.e. working in a bank or security, this practice should not be allowed.
