Time Warner Cable and companies like them abuse the power afforded to them by the government. They use something called CCI to stop TiVo owners and other DVR owners from copying recorded content to computers and other devices. Copying used to be possible but is now impossible due to overreaching telecommunication companies.
Piracy actually occurs because of people NOT being able to copy THEIR shows, not because of it.
Other companies such as Comcast and Verizon FIOS allow copying to take place. Why can't we all have this right?
This petition was created because the common man can't do anything about this issue and rules protecting our rights need to be put into place.
