Our Congressmen/women and Senators make to much money. I recently read that Rep John Moran is wanting to give Congress a pay raise. He believes that they cannot afford to live "decently" on $174,000. I say other wise. Our soldiers are expected to live below poverty level, and our Seniors too. Why should our Soldiers and Seniors have to take pay cuts, if we can afford to give Congress and Senators pay raises? If cuts to someone's pay is needed then those cuts should be made with Congress and Senators pay first. If our Congress and Senators cannot live a "decent" life with $174,000 why is it that they believe that our soldiers and Seniors can live a "decent" life on a quarter of that or at below poverty level? Why is Congress and Senators comforts more important that the regular citizen?
