No government insider denies that lobbyists and corporate entities influence the decisions of Congress. These groups do not necessarily reflect the interests of its citizens, and in many occasions people suffer from decisions that are not made from and by the people.
We urge congress to amend legislation on campaign finance to state that a campaign can be financed by a $50 voter voucher provided by any and all voting citizens that select such campaign, if and only if no funding from lobbyists and/or corporations are accepted.
This approach was proposed by Lawrence Leasing, and should be addressed by our U.S. congress and our citizens.
