Stop Congress from granting their own pay raises and lower their salaries to that of a normal citizen.

The men and women of the Armed Forces, who protect the rights of all Americans, are paid a petty wage in comparison. I believe that the work done by those in uniform and those in Congress are skewed. The fact that Congress can grant their own % wage increase and the Armed Forces are granted the crumbs from that % should be reversed. Perhaps if Congress did and sacrificed as much as those in uniform, without any special interest involvement, they would be as deserving. Understanding that the Congressional body is not as large as that of the Armed Forces, perhaps that increase could be voted on by the people of the United States, who probably would not grant any increase and favor a decrease.
