We currently have the least productive congress in resent history. For the past 4 years, they have accomplished so very little, yet we are expected to provide them with a pay raise.
Pay raises at this time should be off the table. We are at the fiscal cliff, and congress can't get it together to make something work.
We have gun control issues that need to be worked out. We have a country that needs a strong bipartisan congress, that will stop running for re-election, and doing the job they were elected to do. Withholding pay raises may be the start of a motivational trend.
