This petition is to ask that a bill be enacted to stop Congressional pay when there is a Government shutdown.
If hard working Americans, who Congress represents, are forced to stop receiving pay, due to Congressional actions, then Congress should be obligated to stop receiving Government taxpayer money as well. This does not mean they donate their funds. Congress must give up pay during the exact time frame ALL employees are involved in the shutdown. Military should always be paid regardless of Congress, still in partisan deadlock.
