This petition is to stop merger/consolidation of any and all local media with privately-owned media moguls. Such a merger would prevent access to public media from many U.S. citizens who could not afford to pay for privately-owned media. It would also deny access to storm warnings and other natural disasters that could save lives. This is an unjust move by the FCC and privately-owned media moguls to make more money for profit, leaving the poor, elderly and disabled, and many more without informative media. This attempt at privatizing everything in the United States of America must end.
