Stop the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline immediately. The government should not allow oil companies to dictate our energy policy. We need green energy, not a pipeline that hurts our environment. The construction of this pipeline has already cost the homes and livelihoods of people across Texas as Trans-Canada has made "settlements" with these people to take away their homes to clear the way for the pipeline. If the pipeline leaks at any point water supplies could end up being contaminated. Are we really going to let these greedy companies decide our energy policy when they've done so much damage to our society already? Look at what happened in the Gulf Coast....and countless other spills and disasters throughout history. Stop this pipeline and make a real green energy plan.
