Stop the contruction of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Memorial on the corner of MLK, Jr. Blvd and I-10 in Orange, TX

Created by A.C. on February 14, 2013

Black Americans have suffered enough in this world without having a constant reminder of those who fought against freedoms and lost. The Sons of Confederate Veterans want to build a Memorial on the corner of MLK, Jr. blvd and Interstate-10 in the small City of Orange, TX and they say it's to commemorate and teach others of the true history of the Confederate war. Be that as it may, Dr. King was a symbol of freedom, justice and equality for ALL. Why muddy his legacy and what he stood for? The war between the North and South was over 150 years ago and we are all considered one in these "United" States. A Memorial consisting of 13 different Confederate Flags on MLK boulevard just speaks hate, indifference, division and there is no love to be found with this type of Memorial.
